With the UKIPT and European Poker Tour (EPT) Dublin festivals running alongside each and attracting massive field in their events, we fully expected this week’s edition of the Sunday Briefing to be down to the bare bones. We were wrong because there were still some excellent results enjoyed by player from the UK and Ireland on Valentine’s Day.
Chris Moorman added yet another victory to his already impressive poker CV when he took down the 888poker $100,000 Sunday Challenge. Playing as “WhatWudJSay,” Moorman topped a field of 777 players to get his hands on the $18,809.48 first place prize.
Over at Full Tilt, Paul “Sentapied” Senter walked away with top honours in the T-Rex tournament, a result worth $3,686.56 after bounties were included. Senter was joined at the final table by fellow Brit Daryl “DJG1989” Green who fell in ninth place for $470.13.
Another winner at Full Tilt on Sunday was “Pisstanek” who took down the Sunday Major for $12,090.00. Ireland’s “alanwhite” finished fifth in the same tournament for $3,600.00 with “jamhoot” falling in sixth-place for $2,700.00.
In the Sunday Brawl, Mike “SirBaggio” Donofrio collected $728.75 for his eighth-place finish, while “silvirenzo” went two places deeper, falling in sixth place for $1,618.00.
Meanwhile, at PokerStars, “123454321888” broke through the $1 million winnings barrier by finishing third in the Bounty Builder for an $8,,646.26 score, with fellow Brits “mikeymike259” and “SonOfBadger” falling in fourth and ninth-place for $4,862.16 and $1,537.56.
“lookin4spots” was the runner-up in the Bigger $162, a result carrying a $21,750.00 score, while four players calling the UK home reached the final table of the Sunday 2nd Chance.
The winner of the 2nd Chance was UK-based Spaniard Vicent “vicenfish” Delgado ($35,784.00), withLudovic “ludovi333” Geilich finishing fourth ($14,413.00), “tezmoney” fifth ($10,019.53) and “~The$amurai~” sixth ($9,031.52).
