The COMPETITOR

chris-moorman-about-content-photo1Chris Moorman has been an elite competitor his entire life.  Prior to becoming an accomplished poker player, Moorman naturally excelled at both bridge and pool.  Finding bridge at the age of 11, Moorman led England in the national competition.  From there he next took up mastering pool and ended up becoming captain of his University of Essex team and eventually winning the National University Championship.

On the way back from one of his pool competitions during his second year at University of Essex he found out about a free online weekly poker tournament and began competing regularly. He immediately fell in love with the game and began working on mastering it. He spent hours playing cash games, trying to understand all of the intricacies of the game.

Chris, known as Moorman1 online, now sits as the most accomplished online poker player of all-time, becoming first player ever to achieve the $10 Million (now $11M) milestone in lifetime online tournament winnings on PocketFives. Moorman has also been recently ranked the #1 online player in the world and all-time PocketFives Triple Crown leader with an astounding 20 wins. Moorman has also finished in the top 3 in tournaments over a staggering 566 times.

Moorman has transcended from online poker easily to live poker with huge success as well.  To date, he has over $10.9 million online earnings, been ranked in the Global Poker Index Top 10, achieved $4 million in live tournament winnings, his latest victory coming at the 2014 WPT LA Poker Classic, where he topped a field of 534 players, booked his first career title and pocketed $1,015,000 in winnings!

Chris Moorman has been featured on televised final tables at the World Series of Poker Europe, European Poker Tour as well as the Aussie Millions.  Additionally, Moorman was invited to participate in the prestigious NBC National Heads Up Championship in 2013.
